Nosework

Nosework is a wonderful sport that allows dogs to use their excellent sense of smell.   It is not a physically taxing sport for either handler or dog, and practice time is typically minimal.  We love that it completely changes the dynamic of the team; where most sports require the handler to instruct the dog on what to do, Nosework requires the dog to communicate to the handler that they have found their search item. The sport is challenging and fun! Dogs are to locate and indicate to you where the scent is, be it in a box, on a vehicle, in a room or even outdoors.

Both Maeve and Jace compete in Nosework and have multiple titles under this discipline to their names.
